Best Barn in Maryland Itinerary
FROM DC AND BALTIMORE
The trip from Baltimore to Woodlawn Manor takes about an hour. Use your preferred route to get onto 95-South. Take 95 South to exit 35B and merge onto MD-216 West towards Scaggsville. Stay on 216 West through all four traffic circles. After the fourth traffic circle turn left on Lime Kiln Road, and then a right to stay on Lime Kiln Road. Turn left on Browns Bridge Road, continue on Ednor Road, turn right and your destination will be on the right.
The trip from D.C. to Woodlawn Manor takes about an hour and a half. Use your preferred route to I-495 North towards Maryland. Stay on 495N until exit 31A – merge onto Md 97 North/Georgia Avenue towards Wheaton. Slight right onto MD 182N/Layhill Road, then turn left onto MD-182N/Norwood Road, turn right and your destination will be on the left.
On to Sandy Spring
As Dennis mentioned in his story, Best Barn in Maryland, we went into Sandy Spring, and it’s worth the trip.
Leaving Woodlawn Manor it’s about 5 minutes to Sandy Spring Museum. Turn right onto MD182N/Norwood Road and follow to Md108E/Olney Sandy Spring Road, turn right. Follow to Bentley Road and turn left and the museum will be on your right.
The Sandy Spring Slave Museum is 4 minutes further down the road. Leave Sandy Spring Museum by turning left onto Bentley Road, then another left onto Olney Sandy Spring Road, then turn right onto Brooke Road, and the Slave Museum will be on your left.
- The driving itinerary does not include toll roads, this could speed up your driving time but might not be as scenic.
