Easy Hike – Anacostia River – Frederick Douglas Bridge

The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club Presents:

Easy hike on paved trails, the 4-mile hike passes through Yards Park to the Anacostia River Trail crossing the Frederick Douglass Bridge and continuing on the east-side with another bathroom stop before the hike crosses the Sousa Bridge (Pennsylvania Ave). Hike ends at The Roost food hall for lunch and the Potomac Ave Metro station (Blue, Orange and Silver lines).

Meet at the Navy Yard-Ballpark Metro station (Green Line) at 10:15 am. Exit the Metro towards Dept of Transportation/New Jersey Avenue and meet at the top of the escalator.  Public bathroom is available at Canal Park before we begin.

Hike canceled if DC schools are closed or open late due to weather.
